About

Growing up, the dining room table and chairs that we ate around was unique. My dad had cut down a large walnut tree in back of my grandmothers house. He had taken it to a mill to have it cut up into different ways to build his own dining room set. Everything fit together without any nails. The two end sets had wooden pegs to hold the back supports up. With a family of four siblings, we always had plenty of room to eat. The lamp above the table was a bit interesting as well. As you pulled on the ring, the lamp would glide down. If you pushed the lamp up, it would pull itself up as well. I never did get around to figuring out how it could do that.
